Dear Maya Angelou Elementary Poets and Families,
Welcome to Maya Angelou Elementary School! It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal, and I am excited to join this incredible school community. I look forward to partnering with our students, families, faculty, and staff as we begin a year filled with learning, growth, and success.
At Maya Angelou Elementary, we believe every child has the ability to achieve great things when they are supported, challenged, and encouraged. Our dedicated educators are committed to providing engaging instruction, building meaningful relationships, and creating a safe, positive environment where every student feels valued and inspired to do their very best. This school year, our theme, “Building Our A-Team,” reminds us that success is never achieved alone. Just like a championship team, every member of our school community plays an important role. When students, families, teachers, and staff work together with a shared commitment to excellence, there is no limit to what we can accomplish. I believe that strong communication and collaboration are the foundation of a successful school. I encourage you to stay involved, ask questions, celebrate accomplishments, and partner with us throughout the year. Together, we will create meaningful experiences that help every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
